Throughout the year, we regularly produce queens and nucleus hives for our own apiary growth, using some of our favorite queens who exemplify resilience through the Colorado winter, resistance to disease, hygienic varroa behaviors, and docile disposition.  We highly recommend joining us for a beekeeping class, or reading up on beekeeping before beginning your journey.  Much like a beloved pet, your bees require careful attention to ensure they stay in top health!

We have a stock of Langstroth style equipment which is compatible with most other suppliers.  We produce our equipment at our woodshop at the Farmstead nursery using locally purchased Colorado pine, spruce, and fir after we've appropriately dried it over a season.  It then goes on to be milled and shaped into robust deep brood chambers, medium honey supers, tops, and bottoms.  Available unassembled or preassembled & painted.
