From the base of the high prairie north of Boulder. Bees here forage on a host of Colorado wildflowers, including snow-on-the-mountain, wild pea, goldenrod, marigold, and all manner of native asteraceae. One of the few historic radio quiet zones, Table Mountain features all manner of radio research installations including two large antenna installations for measuring the storm formations in the troposphere. The Red Hill Elk Herd regularly migrates to the top of this area where they enjoy relative safety from predators. The graze down many of the grasses that would otherwise compete with native wildflowers, yielding a host of diverse forage for the bees.
